Hey that is a great modeling.
(I know that 3D caracter modeling is pretty hard.)
And your start looks far better than mine!

I really like this one, i stumpled upon that some time ago and i was very pleased with the idea how medias mix in our times ^.^

Would be even nicer to see it completely textured, but its terrific even now ^-^

while his eyebrows be 2D animated? because you didn't give him 3D eyebrows, or a bump from eye lid to eye brow so that when you make the texture you can draw the eyebrow there. And animation a 2D eyebrow is hell!!! so.. just moddel some cute eyebrows and make sure they fir the face, and keep them separated.. you know different objects..
pfeewwww.. explaining that is almost as hard as actually doing it.. I hope you get what I mean.. eye brows are important

So.. I see where it's going and I like.. you kept it low poly which is difficult, and it still looks good
